Ted is a dynamic and motivated corporate security leader with 28 years of experience in developing highly effective security programs, generating and building relationships, managing projects from concept to completion, authoring and developing policies and procedures, and coaching individuals to success. He is skilled in building cross-functional teams, demonstrating exceptional communication skills, and making critical decisions during challenging times.
Ted most recently worked as a Security and Risk Administrator, as a member of the Corporate Security Department for Conduent. He focused on maintaining operational oversight of the electronic security program for all locations across the United States. Much of the details focused on authoring technical training modules, enforcing corporate software programming and database management standards, verifying the commissioning of all physical security projects for all locations across United States, and assisted in responding to governmental and regulatory audits.
Since 1999, Ted has served as a leader within the healthcare environment, specifically for two exceptionally large and highly successful healthcare organizations, Allina Health and UNC Health. While the majority of Ted’s professional career has been spent in the healthcare industry, his leadership and team management skills, in addition to his vast skill set make him an excellent candidate to bring his knowledge to a new position.
As a veteran employee of Allina Health, he has served in many positions, to include Security Project Manager, Security Coordinator and Regional Operations Manager. Much of his focus, outside of the daily operations, was managing a workforce of over 200 personnel, the inception and development of an in-house security program and the systemization of a corporate security program to align with organizational restructuring.
After relocating to Raleigh, NC in 2017 to be closer to family, Ted served in the capacity of Safety and Security Manager for UNC Health, located in the city of High Point. Upon starting this position, he was given an immediate priority of preparing the department for a regulatory survey. In conjunction with regulatory preparations, he also focused his attention towards applying department structure and purpose, budgeting, and risk mitigation strategies.
Ted has served as a content matter expert in several areas, some of which being workplace violence, risk mitigation initiatives, and emergency management. His initial facilities management reporting structure has afforded extensive operational knowledge in other areas such as fire prevention, life safety, and parking management.
